Meet Mbacke N’Diaye Faye
Mbacke N'Diaye Faye is an urban and transportation planner with a strong background in GIS, spatial analysis, and data management. Currently serving as the Senior Urban Planner at the Newark Downtown District (NDD), she has led the Urban Planning Department for six years, focusing on streetscape improvement projects, placemaking initiatives, and conducting thorough data collection and analysis. Holding a Master's Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy from Tufts University, her thesis on public transit accessibility in Greater Boston sharpened her analytical skills and solidified her commitment to equity in urban transportation planning.
Beginning her career with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Suffolk University, she has gained extensive experience working with environmental organizations dedicated to building sustainable and resilient communities, such as Gardens for Health International and Earthwatch Institute. This involvement provided her with practical insights into sustainable practices and reinforced her dedication to environmental stewardship.
